Waltham Cross has a large pedestrianised shopping precinct and covered shopping centre which play host to several high street chain stores as well as several independent retailers. Alongside the shopping centre, a lively street market is held every Wednesday & Friday with about 50 stalls selling all manner of goods.

Another shop on the High Street that has become somewhat of a local icon is Fishpools. Fishpools has been open as a furniture & accessories store in Waltham Cross since 1899 and now contains what are probably the largest collections of quality furniture & home furnishings in the south east.
